When I was doing some research on Los Angeles Fashion Week, to hopefully participate in 2021, I ran into an article mentioning designers’ efforts to reinforce diversity, equity and inclusion even further in the already LGBT-friendly fashion industry by featuring more androgynous models - making me curious. What was androgynous and who were some of these models?
Following a mini-research, I was pleasantly surprised and excited to find out that one of the best models in this field was Ferhat Şirin of Turkey, where I am also originally from. After reading about his Native-American roots, I knew I had to contact him.

Los Angeles Moda Haftasi hakkinda 2021 yilinda etkinliklerine katilabilmek umuduyla arastirma yaparken, tasarimcilarin zaten LGBT (lezbiyen, gey, biseksüel, transseksüel veya travesti) dostu olan moda endüstrisindeki irk cesitliligini, esitligi ve her kesimi kucaklayan bir anlayisi daha da kuvvetlendirme arayisi icinde olduklarini ve bunun için de kadrolarina daha fazla androjen modeller dahil etmek istediklerini anlatan bir yazi gordum – bu bende merak uyandırdı. Androjen ne demekti ve bu modeller kimlerdi?
Küçük bir araştırmadan sonra bu alandaki en iyi modellerden birisinin benim de doğum yerim olan Türkiye'den Ferhat Şirin oldugunu saskinlikla ve heyecanla ogrendim. Kizilderili kokenli oldugunu okuduktan sonra artik onunla iletisime gecmeden duramayacağımı biliyordum.

I reached out to him/her for an interview to learn more about him and his current and future projects and to see whether he would be interested in attending an androgynous fashion show here in California, but little did I know that there would be a lot more to our conversation! The interview turned out to be an utter intellectual feast, ranging from the secrets of the universe to Nikola Tesla to a cosmic journey to the stars, amazon forests, oceans and beyond.
Before we dive into our high-energy interview, let’s elaborate on the word “androgynous” first.
An “androgynous person” is someone whose outward appearance is a combination of male and female traits. Androgynous-looking people are often defined as “ambiguous”, meaning it’s often difficult to tell if they identify as men or women.
Some androgynous people identify as both or neither gender. When this is the case, they often consider themselves as gender non-conforming or agender.
In my case, it is pretty amazing and such an honor to see that one of the prominent models in this field is Turkish. We want to see him/her on the runways of New York and Los Angeles Fashion weeks. Dis gorunumu hem erkek hem de kadin ozellikleri tasiyan sahislara “androjen kisiler” deniyor. Kendilerini erkek ya da kadin olarak tanimlayip tanimlamadiklari cok belirgin olmadigi icin androjen görünümlü insanlar bazen literaturde “muglak” olarak da tanımlanabiliyor.
Bazi androjen kimseler kendisini bu iki cins ya da hiçbiri olarak da tanımlayabiliyor. Boyle oldugu durumlarda kisiler kendilerini cinsiyetsiz olarak düşünebiliyorlar.

Who is Ferhat Şirin? Can you please tell a little bit about yourself for our American readers?
I was born in Istanbul as the fifth member of six siblings. My love for music, dating back to my early childhood years, led me to pursue a higher education at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University and I got my degree in Vocal Performance. When I was studying, I performed at various prestigious hotels and night clubs for many years. Because I was coming from a good music education, later on I realized that the chaotic environment of the stage was not for me – especially after the era of “belly dancing on the tables” started. Then, I received a job offer to work as a journalist and that’s how my journalism career began.
As far as modelling, I got an offer when I was walking the streets of Nisantasi (a neighborhood known as the little Paris of Istanbul.) They told me that they would like for me to walk on the runway the same way I walk on the streets. For me, this is not an extra effort. I can adapt to anything. I am 6 feet and 2 inches. My leg length is 3 feet and 10 inches. I am the same way on the runway as I am on the street and I walk for the audience in the streets and cafes.

I haven’t had a TV in my home for a long time, I committed myself to the world of cosmology which includes concepts like metaphysics, spiritual living and physical theories. I did some research entailing some of the farthest stars. If you ask me about the things I’ve learned, I didn’t learn anything because the world of knowledge and science is a bottomless pit, regardless, I acquired some beautiful knowledge that made me hold onto life and I continue to learn new knowledge every single day.
It is amazing that you are really fond of profound subjects such as metaphysics and cosmology. How did you develop an interest in these fields?
I was born in the Merter neighborhood of Istanbul. Back then everything was more organic and ecological. I grew up in a house with a garden, plenty of flowers, chickens, geese, two Sivas Kangal Shepherd dogs and cats. When I was really little, I used to cry for the snow paths that lost their smoothness as my brother and I stepped on them on our way to school. I would say, “Mom, look, my brother ruined the snow.” My mom would respond by saying that it would snow again and they would be fixed. I would sit by the window and wait for these snow paths that my brother stepped on to close again. My late grandmother would want to cut off bunch of roses from our garden to make some rose jam and I would cry again “Grandma, please do not rip them out, please collect the ones that are on the ground and make the jam with them.” This feeling cannot be injected into you. This is a strong inner desire created by God. Just like the wisdom he bestowed upon to the likes of Nikola Tesla, Confucius or Ataturk – which cannot be found in another person. Of course their knowledge can be parallel with others in some cases but people like them do not frequent our planet too often. Our teachers are only a handful. We are trying to follow the same path to become a teacher ourselves. Overall, it is the God who sends us all this wisdom, so your knowledge also develops out of your control. Just as living things do not come to the world with their own will. Everything is an arranged project. The project of God.

Ferhat Şirin kimdir, Amerikali okuyucularımız için bize kendinizden ve hikayenizden biraz bahseder misiniz?
Alti kardesin beşinci üyesi olarak İstanbul'da dunyaya geldim. Cocuklugumda baslayan musiki askim beni yuksek muzik egitimine kadar goturdu ve Istanbul Universitesi Devlet Konservatuarinin Şan bolumunu bitirdim. Okurken lüks otellerde, gece kulüplerinde sahneye ciktim uzun seneler. İyi bir muzik egitiminde geldigim icin daha sonralari sahnedeki kaos beni sarmadi, özellikle de masaya cikip göbek atmalar donemi basladiktan sonra bana tüm bunlar bana çok uzak gelmeye basladi. Sonra gazetecilik teklifi geldi ve gazetecilik kariyerim de böylece baslamis oldu.
Modellik teklifi ise bana Nişantaşı'nda sokakta yururken geldi. Biz podyumda böyle sokaktaki gibi yürümenizi istiyoruz dediler. Benim için ekstra bir sey degil bu. Her kalıba girebiliyorum. Boyum 1.86. Bacak boyum 1.19. Sokakta da podyumdaki gibiyim ve sokaktaki seyirciler, cafelerdeki seyirciler icin yuruyorum.

İstanbul'da Merter semtinde dunyaya geldim. Hersey daha organik ve daha ekolojikti o zamanlar. Bahceli, ciceklerin yogun oldugu, tavuklarin, kazlarin, iki tane Sivas kangal köpeğinin ve kedinin oldugu bir evde büyüdüm. Daha minicik çocukken abim okula giderken karlara bastigimizda ayak izlerimiz yuzunden karlarin duzlugunun bozulmasina aglardim. “Annecim” derdim “bak karlari bozdu abim.” Annem kar yine yagacak ve onları düzeltecek derdi. Camin onunde oturur abimin bastigi karlarin kapanmasini beklerdim. Rahmetli anneannem evimizin önündeki gulleri gul receli yapmak icin koparmak isterdi ona da aglardim “anneanne lutfen koparma, yere düşenleri al onlarla reçel yap” derdim. Bu size asilanamiyor. Tanrinin yarattigi iştiyaktır bu. Tipki Nikola Tesla’ya, Konfüçyüs’a ya da Atatürk'e verdigi bilgilerin baskasinda olamadigi gibi. Bilgiler tabi ki bir baskasinda da paralel olabilir ama böyle insanlar da bu gezegene cok da gelmiyorlar. Elle sayılacak kadar az öğretmenlerimiz. Kendi adımıza ogretmen olmak icin o yoldan gidiyoruz. Anlayacaginiz bu bilgileri de bize tanri yolluyor, yani sizin bilginiz de sizin dışınızda gelişen bir durum. Finding out about your Native American roots was such a lovely surprise. How did you find about your Indian ancestors?
My father grew up without parents. A colonel friend of my father from the military gets curious and runs a detailed research on our background and finds out that our ancestors came from the Central Asia and Mongolia, some of whom migrated to America and others to different parts of the world. Later on, after I’ve made the news with my modeling career, someone from their family sees my pics and says “This is Mr. Azmi’s kid, his style and the anatomy of his face bones makes it obvious that he is of Indian descent.” When I run into foreign tourists in the street, they ask me if I am Indian. I am also with the most distinctive bone structure in my family. As a kid, I loved John Wayne and Clint Eastwood films, however, Native Americans were always depicted as bad people who skinned people’s scalps. Thankfully, the new era Hollywood films started to make up for this a little bit. For instance, newer films like “The Revenant” with Leonardo Dicaprio, feature some powerful dialogs such as “Along came the white man again; they burnt, destroyed and left again”.

Kizilderili soyu tasidiginizi ogrenmek cok guzel bir sürpriz oldu. Kizilderili atalariniz oldugunuzu nasil ogrendiniz?
Babam annesiz ve babasiz buyumus. Babamin askeriyeden albay bir ahbabi merak edip bizim soy kokenimizi ciddi bir sekilde arastirmis ve kökenimizin Orta Asya, Mogolistan’dan geldiğini ve soyumuzun bir kisminin Amerika'ya bir kisminin da dunyanin belli yerlerine dagildigini ogrenmis. Sonra ben modellik kariyerimle medyaya ciktigimda benim fotograflarimi goren o aileden birisi “iste Azmi beyin çocuğu bu, Kizilderili oldugu tarzından ve yuz kemiklerinden de belli” diyor. Yabanci turistlerle de yolda karsilastigimiz da da siz kizilderili misiniz diye soruyorlar. Ailemde de en belirgin kemik yapisina sahip olan benim. Cocuklugumda John Wayne ve Clint Eastwood filmlerini çok severdim ama Kızılderililer hep kotu, kafa derisi yüzen insanlar olarak gosterilirdi. Neyse ki yeni dönemde Hollywood kizilderililere yaptiklari haksizligi biraz telafi etmeye basladi.

As the first androgynous model of Turkey, you participated in prestigious and renowned shows such as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Who else is out there in the world as a successful androgynous model?
Once there was Andreja Pejić but then became fully transsexual. He/she was a part Bosnian-part Australian model, reached super famous status and modeled for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier. Turkey started to get familiar with this concept with me. Following my participation in events such as Mercedes Benz Fashion week, I made the news with headlines like “androgynous model Ferhat Şirin is on the runways of Turkey and Europe”. Over the course of last 6 years, I have continued to take part in select and quality fashion shows as their opening and closing model.
In Turkey and Europe, you are known for your inspiring and professional work which doesn’t focus on gender, and especially in the field of fashion and journalism you are famous for accomplishing many firsts. Have you ever thought about advancing your career in the United States? In my opinion, your mindset and Native American background might create quite a stir here.
If I receive any offers, why not? I would actually like that because New York Fashion Week is as successful as the other shows in Europe. However, generally speaking, I do not make a distinction between languages, religion, colors or continents. All 7 continents are us and we are one. The borders across these continents were defined by humans not by God. The only one that I love is God. Other than God, from the cats on the street to the birds that come to my balcony, to the flowers that I take care of, I think of everyone and every living thing as equal within their own inner worlds.
We are wondering, how did the unusual developments of 2020 including COVID-19 has affected someone like you – a person who is knowledgeable, not ordinary and into cosmology? What are your thoughts about the near future, personally speaking and also for the world?
COVID-19 is World War III. Einstein had already mentioned that the third world war wouldn’t be fought with tanks, gun powders or bombs and that it would be a biological and nuclear war. Previously, we never had a war that included all seven continents. The families who reign the world reveal all these themselves as well. There is an effort to create a sci-fi world like a Hollywood film set.

Andreja Pejić vardi, o da sonradan transeksüel oldu. Sarisin, yari Bosnali-yari Avustralya’li bir modeldi, epey unluydu ve Jean Paul Gaultier gibi modacilar icin modellik yapmisti. Turkiye’de ise androjen model kavraminin bilinmesi benimle basladi. COVID-19 ucuncu dunya savasi. Einstein zaten soylemisti 3. Dunya savasi tankla, barutla, bombayla olmayacak biyolojik ve nukleer olacak diye. Because my blog was born in Los Angeles, I wanted to ask you: what do you know/think about the City of Angels?
My most favorite thing about the city is its beautiful name: City of Angels. What a magnificent name as the world itself is constructed on angels. We are unable to see them because each of them are a form of energy. Los Angeles is a very special city in the US in terms of being a very embracing city for everyone, highly identifying with its name.
It is also wonderful that the city includes art, culture, nature and agriculture intensively. So many options including Walt Disney’s namesake Disneyland, entertainment, Hollywood, the ocean. So many people think of its beaches when they hear Los Angeles but no the city also treasures culture and art. The LACMA museum where street lamps are incredibly beautifully organized and the giant and antique Getty Museum library which is framed with labyrinths also look very pleasant.
I’ve never been to Los Angeles but I am hoping that I will have the opportunity after COVID-19 and discover fashion and art activities such as Los Angeles Fashion Week. If a designer reads this interview and would like for me to present their outfits, I would be happy to come over. I don’t walk like a regular model on the runway. They often tell me “what you are doing is art as you enter the soul of the dress and the design, capture people for 3 minutes with your gaze and each step, leave your imprints and walk away.” It is of course very pleasing to hear all these comments from people with an artistic soul but in reality success means nothingness and egoless-ness and I simply love nothingness.
You are a graduate of Istanbul University’s State Conservatory in Vocal Performance, you are known for your strong voice and have taken stage with some of the most successful singers in Turkey such as Yildiz Tilbe. Are you contemplating any music projects in the future?
I recently got an offer to perform live on the stage and to produce a maxi single but had to postpone the preparations due to covid. Sadly, the entire entertainment industry has stalled. I have always been a good singer but during the time that I took a break from music, I wrote 180 lyrics, composed songs, arranged some music, and sang different pieces. I didn’t have any of these before nor did I have the knowledge. I don’t know how they ended up finding me, I am stunned. I guess I was meant to take a break.
How about cinema? In one of your other interviews you were talking about a film project in which you would play yourself.
I have been offered 3 film roles so far. I was going to play an androgynous homeless person in one of these. Another more recent offer included 5 lead roles and I was one of them, I was going to play an angel as they are genderless. They were all professional actors. I’ve actually started to take acting classes from two theatre actors friends of mine, one male and one female. Just like everything else in the world, this has also stalled because of covid.
This is all about energy. I want to be in a project like this and I would love to take part in one if the opportunity comes in the near future. Especially the role of a guardian angel. With white wings. Speaking of white wings, I would also love to walk the runway at a Victoria’s Secret fashion event because they have a magnificent show there. You are watching a very professional event not just underwear. At the same show, you also see the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Justin Bieber take stage, each with two songs. All the wings and accessories turn into a form of art. Everything is marvelous. Their technic is very advanced. I definitely aspire to be on their big catwalk one day.
Is there a special name that you would like to collaborate with?
As far as well-known names out there, I would love to be in the shows of Donatella Versace, Dolce Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Prada and Moschino.
By the way, personally speaking, I don’t have a store culture nor fondness for brand names. I design my own outfits – without sewing. I am really good with scissors. I cut out a pair of jeans and reshape them before wearing. But, whether they are world-known brands or not, I have no interest in nor knowledge of what’s displayed in the windows of stores or what this year’s fashion or colors are. Personal style is more permanent after all.

Sanat, kültür, doga ve tarimi da yogun olarak barindirmasi harika. Walt Disney’in ismini verdigi Disneyland’i, eglencesi Hollywood’u, okyanusu çok fazla secenek var. Los Angeles denince bircok insanin aklina plajlar geliyor ama hayir, kültür ve sanatin da cok degerli oldugu bir sehir. Sokak lambalarinin inanilmaz guzel bir şekilde düzenlendiği ve siralandigi LACMA müzesi ve labirentlerle çevrili dev antik kutuphanesi de cok keyifli gozukuyor.
Los Angeles’e hic gelmedim ama insallah COVID-19’dan sonra gelme firsatini bulurum ve Los Angeles Fashion Week gibi moda ve sanat etkinliklerini kesfetme sansina sahip olurum. Orda da bir tasarimci bu roportaji okur ve kiyafetlerini sunmami isterse seve seve gelirim. Podyumda da model gibi yurumuyorum. Siz sanat yapiyorsunuz, elbiseyle tasarimin ruhuna giriyorsunuz, her adiminizda ve bakisinizda insanlari 3 dakika esir aliyorsunuz ve damganizi vurup gidiyorsunuz diyorlar. Sanatci ruhlu insanlardan bunlari duymak cok mutluluk verici tabi ki ama basari demek aslinda hiclik ve egosuzluk demektir ve ben hicligi seviyorum.
Istanbul Universitesi Devlet Konservatuvari Şan bolumu mezunusunuz, guclu sesinizle biliniyorsunuz ve Yildiz Tilbe gibi Turkiye'nin basarili isimleriyle sahne aldiniz. İlerisi icin muzik projeleri dusunuyor musunuz?
Yeni bir teklif geldi, hem sahne teklifi, hem de maxi single hazirlamam istenildi, hazirliklari covid yüzünden ertelemek zorunda kaldik. Ne yazik ki tüm eğlence sektörü durmus durumda. İyi bir yorumcuydum ama müziğe ara verdigim sirada 180’e yakin soz yazdim, beste yaptim, muzik aranje ettim ve degisik yorumlama calismalarim oldu. Önceden yoktu bunlar, boyle bir bilgim de yoktu. Nasil oldu nasil geldi ben de bilmiyorum, ben de saskinim. Demek ki o arayi vermem gerekiyormus.
Peki ya sinema? Röportajlarinizdan birinde kendi kimliğinizi oynayacağınız bir film projesinden bahsediyordunuz.
Bugüne kadar 3 film teklifi aldim. Birinde androjen bir sokak insanini oynayacaktim. Yeni teklif aldığım bir filmde de 5 tane başrol arasinda ben de vardim ve bir melegi oynayacaktım melekler cinsiyetsiz oldugu icin. Hepsi de profesyonel oyunculardı. Bu konuda da biri kadın biri erkek iki tiyatrocu arkadasimdan dersler almaya başladım. Bu da covid’den dolayi durdu dünyadaki hersey gibi.
Bu bir enerjidir. Boyle bir projede olmak istiyorum, yarin obur gun boyle bir proje gelirse seve seve oynamak isterim. Hele iyilik melegi rolu olursa. Beyaz kanatlarla. Beyaz kanatlar demisken, Victoria’s Secret defilesine cikmayi da cok isterdim cunku orda cok buyuk bir show var. Ic camasiri degil cok profesyonel bir show izliyorsunuz. It is impressive that your fondness of organic life started way before the word “organic” took its place in popular culture and before many people knew much about this concept and what it entailed exactly. You are also one of the founders of the Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living. How did your interest in organic lifestyle start and how does it reflect on your daily life?
It was my late friend Victor Ananias who started the Bugday Association in Turkey. It all began with a small market place in Istanbul, Sisli. Thanks to the then Mayor of Sisli, who we gave us a small place, we had our first bazaar 14 years ago with very few producers and farmers, approximately with 14 or 15 vendors. We would go there very early in the morning with Victor and other friends. I am grateful to famous film and stage artists, most of whom I know through my journalism career, as they became involved, visited our market and helped us with our publicity and marketing. Our organic market was heavily featured in the media and the public was informed about its benefits. To this day, however, our people are not very conscious about ecological and organic agriculture. Regardless, you can see a lot of organic stands in the grocery stores nowadays. During my travels to Europe, I was delighted to see that bio markets were opening up. We also now have organic stores in Turkey. Very nice. But unfortunately they are in posh neighborhoods where the buying power is high.
I lead an organic life in an obsessive way. From my cosmetics to the laundry detergent I use to my utensils everything is organic. This is not a blessing. This is its core, how it was supposed to be. First they spoiled it and now they are presenting and marketing it back to us. The most important resource for every living thing is their nutrition.
Our readers should definitely check out some of the documentaries on YouTube. If you don’t have the glaciers in Antarctica then you don’t have the Sahara desert. If you don’t have the Sahara desert, then you don’t have the Amazon rain forest. They are all part of the eco system and coordinated in a parallel way to each other within the network of a vast information system. Creation is a magnificent design.
A signature question by City of Angels with Nesli: if you were a city in the world, which one would you be and why?
I am really curious about Cuba. It is a very important city in terms of the value placed on humans. As a human being, as a citizen, you are able to eat for free at a restaurant. Your health care is free at the hospitals. I really appreciate their system. Additionally, I had discovered a few other cities that live entirely in an organic way. One of them was in Portugal and one was in the US. I also love Los Angeles because it is the city of angels.
Skyscrapers and high-rise residences are not for me. The concept of luxury is way beyond my perception. I love to be on soil, hang onto trees, touch a kitty, and exchange hellos with birds and flowers. This is the biggest luxury. The World War III is making people more individualistic. Use more anti-depressants, become more isolated and lose your soul.
As the first androgynous journalist of Turkey, you interviewed a lot of celebrities and on my end it is such a pleasure and so informative to be able to interview the interviewer. Mert Fırat, Okan Bayülgen, Metin Akpınar, Cüneyt Arkın ve Kadir İnanir are just a few of the famous people you interviewed. Can you share some insights with us?
Yes, I hosted some of the most important actors, actresses, singers and TV show personalities of Turkey. I never entered the realm of their private lives by asking questions like “Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?”, “What is your sexual orientation?” etc.
I asked them about the universe, nature, life, and the knowledge of science ranging from the earth and the oceans to the farthest of stars. I even hosted some guests such as Halil Ergun and Sevval Sam twice. These interviews didn’t make big headlines because our society and the world is not interested in science. They are not into acquiring new knowledge and they are more interested in matters about scandals and gossip. Because the society is unhappy in general, they want to laugh and make fun of things and people. You can only attract their attention if they can make fun of you.
Organic living, modeling, journalism and singing. I continue to do these four jobs professionally. I am where I want to be spiritually and emotionally. I am happy, when I go to bed I can sleep peacefully. I have 6 crows, countless pigeons and doves. My doves and crows come in and out of my house as they please.

Turkiye’de Bugday Dernegi’ni baslatan rahmetli arkadasim Victor Ananias’tir. İstanbul, Sisli’de kucuk bir pazarla basladi. Bize kucuk bir yer veren donemin Sisli Belediye baskani sayesinde ilk pazarimiz 14 sene evvel cok az uretici ve ciftcinin katilimiyla 14 ya da 15 tezgahla basladi. Sabahin cok erken saatlerinde yakin arkadasim olan Victor ve diğer arkadaşlarla gidiyorduk.
Sağolsunlar gazetecilik mesleğim dolayısıyla tanidigim bir cok unlu sinema ve sahne sanatçısı da bu projeye dahil oldular, geldiler ve reklam yapmamiza yardimci oldular. Medyada organik pazarimizin cok bahsi gecti ve halk faydalari konusunda bilgilendirildi. Halen insanlarimiz ekolojik organik tarım konusunda cok da bilincli değiller. Ama artik marketlerde organik standlar gorebilirsiniz. Avrupa seyahatlerimde oralarda bio marketler acildigini gordugumde cok mutlu olmustum. Türkiye'de de organik marketler var artik. Cok guzel. Ama lüks semtlerde yani alim gucunun yuksek oldugu semtlerde var maalesef.
Ben obsesif organik yasiyorum. Kozmetigimdem, elimdeki deterjana, catal bicagima hersey organik. Bu bir lütuf degil. Ozu yani olmasi gereken zaten böyleydi, once bozdular sonra da bize bunu geri sunup pazarladilar. Dunyadaki tum canlilarin en onemli kaynağı beslenmesidir.

Gökdelenler, rezidanslar ise bana gore degil. Lüks algimin cok disinda birsey. Ben topraga cikmak ağaçlara tutunmak isterim, bir kediye dokunmak isterim, kuşlarla, çiçeklerle selamlasmak isterim. En buyuk lüks iste bu. Ucuncu dunya savasi insanlari bireyselleştiriyor. Daha cok antidepresan kullan, daha yalniz kal, daha ruhsuzlas.

Cok yanki uyandirmadi cunku toplumumuz ve dunya ilimle maalesef pek ilgilenmiyor. Bilgi ile pek aralari yok, skandal ve dedikodu uzerine olan konularla daha fazla ilgileniyorlar. Halk da mutsuz oldugu icin kisilerle eglenmek, alay etmek istiyor. Halk sizinle alay ederse prim yapabiliyorsunuz.

Do you have a message for your fans or the new generation?
This interview itself was actually full of messages. I would like for them to love nature including the rain, the snow, the oceans, the animals, the grass and the trees. They have to love them because they are part of them. No matter how much they try to diminish our senses, I recommend that they live with and beyond their five senses. This is unfortunately not possible without science, knowledge and research.
But the knowledge is also endless. I suggest surrendering to God because the knowledge also takes you to his path and I don’t want anyone to change the essence of their existence. I don’t find it right that people interfere with their creation. I did grow my hair, put on make-up but I never interfered with my existence. I will say my goodbye to this universe as I came from my mother, I don’t have any plastic surgery. I also don’t have Botox and I do not like such things. We see that some people who interfere with their looks can be very discontent later on and there are many examples of this. Huge lips and extremely small noses turn into a plastic surgery disease. The reason behind is unhappiness or being envious of someone else. No one can be like anyone else. Please do not interfere with your creation. God created each living being geometrically different. Each rain drop, grain of sand, leaves on the trees, fruits include a dissimilar geometrical structure. Even the structure of the spots on a leopard are not the same.
Death is actually rebirth. Knowing this, I am not afraid of dying. As Rumi mentioned, my death is my wedding with eternity. He sees shroud as a wedding dress because death is the day of uniting with God. Upon birth, we came into a planet that we didn’t know and we don’t know where we will go from here either. Our souls are immortal and bodies are mortal. You are leaving your physical anatomy here which was formed with air, water and fire, the elements of the earth. Only the soul is going to eternity. We don’t know where it is, our consciousness is closed to it.
My most important advice for our readers in Los Angeles would be reading our master mentor Nikola Tesla at least once. He says, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” And I am adding to that: think of you, life and all the living beings in terms of energy, frequency and vibration. Animals and nature mostly perceive vibration. When you open your arms to a cat and tell her “I love you”, she perceives the vibration not what you say.
And one last piece of advice, in this life you are rich as much as you can eat or use. The rest is not yours, it’s for sharing. This planet named earth was created by God and there is enough food and water for every living being. Whether it’s animals or humans, I cannot stand seeing anyone go homeless and hungry. As Victor Hugo once said, “This is the world! How much we valued it. Yet it was a field; we would cultivate it and leave.”

What’s Next?
I have a new fashion shoot and I am getting ready for it. I will be an amazon woman. A warrior. Designers usually go beyond their regular collections for me. They come up with designs inspired by my general photos. In that regard, there are a lot of successful designers, for instance, Bilge Erturk. She creates designs for big companies. She designed one of the runways that I attended and I think she is very talented. I especially enjoy carrying designs by such designers because my soul becomes even more holistic. Wearing these outfits make me more content and I rejoice even more. This joy reflects on the runway.

Yeni bir moda çekimim var, ona hazirlik yapiyorum. Bir Amazon kizini canlandıracağım. Bir savasci. Tasarimcilar genelde koleksiyonlarının disina cikiyorlar benim icin. Daha benim genel fotoğraflarimdan esinlenerek tasarımlar yapıyorlar. Bu anlamda cok basarili tasarimcilar da var, Bilge Erturk var mesela. Buyuk firmalarin tasarimcisi kendisi. Ciktigim bir defilenin tasarımını o yapmisti cok yetenekli buluyorum onu. Boyle tasarimcilarin tasarimlarini tasimak cok keyifli geliyor bana cunku o zaman ruhum daha bir bütünleşiyor.
